Residents of Kanziko Ward have welcomed the commencement of road opening works connecting Mwanyani Kwa Kavalao to Kakithya, a move set to improve transport and accessibility in the area.
The project has kicked off under the leadership of Kitui Governor Dr Julius Makau Malombe, in partnership with Kanziko MCA Hon. Kyalo Kimuli, who have prioritized infrastructure development across the ward.
Speaking during the launch, local leaders noted that the road will ease movement for residents, farmers, and traders while opening up the region for economic activities and improved service delivery. The project is expected to enhance connectivity between villages and markets, boosting local livelihoods.
Residents lauded the county government and their MCA for what they termed as practical development, expressing optimism that the new road will transform transport and spur growth in the Mwanyani and Kakithya areas.
