Yatta Kwa Vonza Member of the Kitui County Assembly, Hon. Mark Ndingo, has called for a 100 per cent transition of all learners in his ward, urging education stakeholders to ensure that no child is left behind as schools admit learners to the next grade.

Speaking exclusively to TCD Digital, the popular MCA said all learners proceeding to Grade 7 and Grade 10 must be supported to report to school without exception. He emphasized that education stakeholders—including parents, teachers, school administrators, community leaders, and government officers—have a collective responsibility to guarantee full transition.

Hon. Ndingo noted that the transition policy is critical in securing the future of children and strengthening human capital development in the ward and the county at large. He urged parents and guardians to prioritize education and address challenges that may hinder learners from continuing with their studies.

“It is the responsibility of all stakeholders to make sure that there is a 100 per cent transition. The only gift one can truly give to any child is education,” Hon. Ndingo said.

The MCA further called on education officials to closely monitor enrollment and attendance, particularly for learners from vulnerable backgrounds, to ensure no child drops out during the transition period.

His remarks come as schools across the country implement government directives aimed at achieving universal transition under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
