National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Hon. Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli has issued a bold political statement, declaring that the Ukambani region is experiencing a political awakening and signaling the end of what he termed as entrenched political dynasties.

In a message directed at what he described as “political masters,” Dr. Muli said the era of leaders who believe they are entitled to rule indefinitely is coming to a close. He emphasized that his leadership and political movement are firmly rooted in grassroots power and people-centered governance.

“I stand for the people, not political dynasties or entitled elites,” Muli stated, adding that he is not aligned to individuals, cartels, or special interests, but is driven by a commitment to serve ordinary Kenyans.

The NLP leader further noted that his movement is built on empowering citizens and amplifying their voices, insisting that leadership must be accountable to the people rather than a select few.

I will not watch Ukambani treated as personal property. Kalonzo Musyoka Kalonzo Musyoka has had decades to offer a new vision and chose comfort over change. Through the National Liberal Party (NLP), I am giving our people an alternative built on ideas, accountability, and courage. The era of political entitlement is ending. 🇰🇪

Looking ahead to the 2027 General Election, Dr. Muli said the contest will be about restoring the people’s voice in governance and rejecting lifelong political dominance.

“2027 will be about the people’s voice, not lifelong rulers,” he said.

His remarks are likely to intensify political debate in Ukambani and beyond as leaders begin positioning themselves ahead of the next electoral cycle.
