National Liberal Party (NLP) leader Hon. Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli has called on Kenyans to take an active role in shaping the country’s future as political activity gathers momentum ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a statement addressing the current political climate, Dr. Muli said the time for citizens to determine the nation’s direction is now, urging voters to exercise their democratic power wisely and responsibly.
He noted that rising political competition, public frustration over the high cost of living, and growing concerns over tribal politics and shifting party loyalties are shaping the national conversation. According to him, the upcoming elections must focus on real solutions to the country’s challenges rather than personalities and empty rhetoric.

“The true power in our democracy lies with the citizens. Your vote is more than a mark on a ballot; it is a statement about the Kenya you want to build,” Dr. Muli said.
The NLP leader emphasized the need for voters to elect leaders based on integrity, clear development plans, and commitment to democratic values. He warned against coercion, divisive politics, and elite influence that undermine the will of the people.
Dr. Muli further urged Kenyans to prioritize issues such as job creation, economic stability, honest governance, and national unity as the country prepares for the next electoral cycle.
He concluded by encouraging citizens to make informed decisions that reflect courage and commitment to a stronger and fairer Kenya, saying that democracy thrives when voters stand firm on principles and accountability.
