KITUI COUNTY GOVERNOR’S CUP ENTERS THE HOMESTRETCH

The Kitui County Governor’s Cup is taking shape as ward-level games near completion, with village teams showcasing impressive prowess on the pitch.

With only a few ward-level matches remaining, the vibe so far is sizzling! Teams are battling it out, showcasing their skills and teamwork, while the Kitui community is coming together in unity and promoting sportsmanship.

The Governor’s Cup is more than just football—it is about building connections, fostering talent, and keeping the energy positive around the game, while steering youth away from drugs and substance abuse.

Some of the teams eyeing the grand prize 🏆 include Mutwangombe FC (Men) and Ndithi FC (Ladies) from Waita Ward; Muthuka FC (Men) and Nguni Sirens FC (Women); Mwingi Junior Stars (Men) from Mwingi Township; Yatwa Ladies FC from Nuu Ward; Scurvy United Ladies from Kithumula kwa Mutinga Ward; Mukelenzuni Elites, the champions of Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward; and Muvinge FC, the Mumoni Ward champions, among others.

Once the ward-level games are concluded, sub-county games will begin in earnest, as the tournament builds momentum towards *Cheza Footaa na GVN Malombe.
