Opposition leader Kalonzo Musyoka has publicly recognized Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Ndingo for his loyalty and support to the Wiper leadership during a rally held at Kalundu grounds in Kitui Town.
Speaking to a large crowd, Kalonzo singled out Ndingo as a committed grassroots leader who has consistently stood with the party’s agenda at the county assembly level. He praised the MCA’s dedication, describing him as “dependable and focused on serving the people.”
At the same time, Kalonzo issued a stern warning to a section of Kitui MCAs who recently visited State House, accusing them of attempting to undermine his leadership and create the impression that he no longer commands political influence in the region.
Without naming individuals, the Wiper leader termed such actions as betrayal, saying the leaders had “turned against the community’s political direction.” He urged voters to hold them accountable in the next election cycle.
“Those who went to State House to portray that I am not in charge are traitors of our people. They should not expect support from the electorate in future,” Kalonzo said.
The remarks come amid growing political realignments in Kitui County, with leaders positioning themselves ahead of the next general election. Kalonzo reaffirmed his grip on the region, calling for unity among Wiper supporters and warning against internal divisions.
