The County Assembly of Machakos has postponed its plenary sittings that were scheduled for April 14th and 15th, 2026. The decision was communicated through a public notice issued to inform residents and stakeholders of the change in the legislative calendar.
According to the notice, the postponement is due to members’ participation in the Sixth Legislative Summit, which will take place from April 13th to 17th, 2026. The summit is expected to bring together lawmakers to deliberate on key governance and legislative matters affecting county assemblies across the country.
The Assembly confirmed that sittings will resume on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Anne Kiusya, the Speaker, expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the adjustment and assured the public of continued commitment to service delivery.
