Policyholders and claimants of Trident Insurance Company Limited have a reason to smile after the Policyholders Compensation Fund (PCF) officially commenced compensation payments for unsettled claims.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, PCF confirmed that affected individuals can now submit their claims through its online portal as part of efforts to cushion policyholders following the insurer’s financial challenges that led to statutory management.
The fund urged all eligible claimants to take advantage of the process by visiting its official website, www.pcf.go.ke, and lodging their applications through the dedicated claims portal.
The move marks a significant step in restoring confidence in Kenya’s insurance sector, particularly among policyholders who have faced prolonged uncertainty over unpaid claims. PCF plays a critical role in protecting policyholders when insurance companies are unable to meet their obligations.
Officials noted that the compensation exercise is part of a broader mandate to ensure claimants are not left financially exposed due to the collapse or instability of insurers.
Affected policyholders are encouraged to submit accurate documentation to facilitate faster processing of their claims.
