Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday joined congregants at Tseikuru Independent Faith Baptist Church in Mwingi North, Kitui County, where he attended a church service and participated in a fundraiser.Addressing the faithful, Kalonzo delivered a strong message on the state of the nation, warning that Kenya is at a critical turning point. He criticized what he termed as growing “goonism” and lack of accountability in government, cautioning that the country risks sliding into lawlessness if urgent measures are not taken. He specifically took issue with senior government officials, urging them to uphold transparency and responsibility in public service. After the service, Kalonzo invited local leaders and guests to a meeting at his Tseikuru Mini State Lodge residence for further consultations. However, Mwingi North MP was notably absent from the gathering, despite attending the church event earlier.Sources indicate that the MP, who reportedly arrived late for the service, skipped the post-church meeting following a heated confrontation with Hon. Malili, a prominent aspirant for the Mwingi North parliamentary seat. The alleged clash is said to have heightened political tensions in the area, signaling early rivalries ahead of the next general election.
