Kitui Governor Julius Malombe on Thursday hosted a delegation from Family Bank in a meeting aimed at strengthening financial collaboration between the county government and the private sector.
The delegation, led by the bank’s Head of Public Sector Timothy Cheboi, paid a courtesy call to the governor at his office in Kitui, where discussions centered on potential areas of partnership. Key among them was the provision of banking services tailored to meet the operational and development needs of the county government.
The engagement follows a formal proposal submitted by Family Bank expressing interest in working with Kitui County to deliver innovative financial solutions. The proposed collaboration is expected to enhance efficiency in financial management and improve service delivery across various county departments.
During the meeting, both parties explored ways of strengthening institutional banking frameworks, with a focus on ensuring secure, reliable, and accessible financial services. Emphasis was also placed on leveraging modern banking solutions to support the county’s growing administrative and development demands.
If realized, the partnership is set to play a key role in advancing Kitui’s development agenda by streamlining financial processes and unlocking new opportunities for resource mobilization and public service improvement.
