The MK Nding’o Foundation, led by Kitui Rural MCA Hon. Mark Nding’o, on Tuesday officiated the issuance of bursaries to needy children in Kiusyani, in a continued effort to support education among vulnerable families.During the exercise, five children from each location benefited, with priority given to learners from total orphan families.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on guardians while ensuring that bright but disadvantaged students remain in school.Speaking during the event, Hon. Nding’o reaffirmed his commitment to investing in education, noting that empowering children through learning is key to transforming the community.
The MCA highlighted that the foundation has consistently supported learners across Kitui Rural. Last year, over 100 bright students benefited from the bursary program, while this year’s initiative has focused on assisting more than 100 children drawn from total orphan families.
Residents and beneficiaries lauded the program, terming it a lifeline for many struggling households and a significant boost to education in the area.
