HON. IRENE KASALU LEADS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT DRIVE IN KYUSO WARD

Kitui County Women Representative Hon. Irene Kasalu on Wednesday led a major women’s economic empowerment drive in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North Constituency, where she distributed water tanks, tents, chairs, and financial grants to various Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

Speaking during the event, Hon. Kasalu said the initiative goes beyond distributing items, emphasizing that it is about building capacity and creating lasting opportunities for women across Kitui County.

“The water tanks, tents, chairs, and financial grants I issued will help our CBOs strengthen their community projects, expand their table banking activities, and boost small-scale enterprises,” she said.

She noted that every tank, tent, and grant represents a step toward self-reliance and sustainable growth, adding that empowering women is key to building stronger and more resilient communities.

Hon. Kasalu was accompanied by the area MCA Hon. Stephen Makau Musili (Katonyi) and former Zombe-Mwitika Ward MCA Hon. Mwathi Katheke. She praised the unity and determination of Kyuso Ward women, saying their energy continues to inspire her efforts toward inclusive development and dignity for every household in Kitui County.
