Residents of Nthongoni and its surrounding areas are set to benefit from improved security and economic activity following the installation of modern high-mast street lights.
The project, spearheaded by Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Nding’o, saw the successful lobbying for four high-mast lights funded by the national government with support from the World Bank.
The high-mast lights have been strategically installed at Nthongoni, Kiusyani, Kwa Vonza town, and Nthongo, with each unit costing approximately KSh 10 million. The project is expected to significantly enhance security, boost local businesses, and improve night-time visibility in the areas.
Residents have welcomed the development, expressing gratitude to MCA Mark Nding’o for his efforts in bringing the project to the community. Many noted that the lighting will help reduce crime and create a safer environment for traders and pedestrians.
Speaking on the initiative, Mark Nding’o reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure and uplifting the living standards of residents across the ward
