Leaders from Kitui County have welcomed the nomination of Jerusah Mwaathime Michael to serve as a member of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), terming it a major boost for youth representation and regional inclusion. Among those who expressed their appreciation are Kitui South MP Racheal Nyamai and Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo Katisya.
In a statement, Speaker Katisya thanked President William Ruto for the appointment, noting that it reflects a deliberate effort by the national government to recognize emerging leaders from across the country. He described the nomination as a demonstration of inclusivity and confidence in the potential of young professionals to serve in key national institutions.
Katisya further congratulated Jerusah Mwaathime Michael, whom he referred to as both a colleague in the legal profession and a sister, for earning the opportunity.
