Incoming Christopher Nzilu, who also serves as the Deputy Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly, today attended the home dedication and consecration ceremony of Dancan Kimuli Kitheka in Mulango Ward, Kitui Central Constituency.
Christopher Nzilu Nzioka spent busy Saturday engaging with residents and attending several community functions across the region, reinforcing his close ties with the local community.
The day began with morning consultations with residents from Tiva, Sokomoko and Kiliku, where locals shared their development priorities and concerns affecting their daily lives. Nzilu listened to the residents and assured them of his commitment to champion initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods, infrastructure and service delivery in the area. The meeting reflected growing cooperation between local leadership and the community.
Later in the day, the leader attended house dedication ceremonies for Ruth Mutonya in Itoleka village and Duncan Kimuli Kitheka in Katulani, Mulango Ward. The ceremonies brought together family members, friends and neighbours in celebration and thanksgiving. Nzilu congratulated the families on the milestone and encouraged residents to continue supporting one another and strengthening community bonds.
In the afternoon, he also witnessed a family visit where Caro paid a heartfelt visit to her parent, Lena Mutisya, at Nzukini village in Mulango Ward. The occasion highlighted the importance of family values, respect and maintaining strong connections within families and the wider community.
Through these engagements, Nzilu emphasized that leadership goes beyond public office and includes being present with the people while supporting both development and social unity within the community.
