Kitui South young businessman Mr. Manasse Kasina was among the youth who benefited from the NYOTA Program during a national event officiated by President William Ruto in Machakos.
Manasse, who runs a school uniform business in Ikanga Ward, Kitui South, was notably engaged by President Ruto during the event. The President invited him to share advice with fellow beneficiaries on the importance of proper utilization of NYOTA Program funds.
Speaking at the forum, Manasse emphasized that although the funds may appear small to some, they are seed capital capable of transforming businesses if used wisely and purposefully. use 20 percent, flough back 80 percent of the money into business, He encouraged young people to invest the money carefully, remain disciplined, and focus on long-term growth.

The President also cautioned beneficiaries against misusing the funds, stressing that government empowerment programs are meant to uplift communities and should translate into visible impact on the ground. He reaffirmed the governmentโs commitment to supporting youth-led enterprises through training, mentorship, and access to affordable financing.
The NYOTA Program is part of the governmentโs broader agenda to empower youth economically, promote entrepreneurship, and reduce unemployment across the country, with a special focus on nurturing sustainable businesses that can thrive beyond initial funding.
