Kitui Central MP hopeful Hon. Christopher Nzilu has formally declared his intention to vie for the constituency’s parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, unveiling a campaign anchored on integrity, accountability, and people-centered leadership.
In a statement released on Monday, Nzilu said his ambition is driven not by titles or political noise, but by a deep commitment to public service and development. Drawing from his past leadership experience in Kyangwithya West, he emphasized that honest leadership, listening to the people, and protecting public interests will be the cornerstone of his agenda.
“When I become the Member of Parliament for Kitui Central come 2027, it will not be about titles or noise, but dedication to service,” Nzilu said. “I will commit myself to honest leadership as I have done before, delivering development and working closely with the people.”
The aspirant noted that Kitui Central deserves leadership founded on integrity, hard work, accountability, and inclusive progress, adding that he is ready to serve, sacrifice, and collaborate with all stakeholders to secure a better future for generations to come.
Popularly known as “Lion” and affectionately referred to as “kamwana ka wia,” Nzilu’s declaration adds momentum to the already competitive race for the Kitui Central MP seat as the 2027 political season gradually takes shape.
Political observers say his entry is likely to reshape local political dynamics, especially given his grassroots appeal and emphasis on service-driven leadership.
