Kitui Central Member of Parliament Dr. Makali Mulu PhD has once again cemented his reputation as one of Kenya’s top-performing legislators after being recognised as the second best-performing MP nationally at the prestigious African Champion Awards. The accolade underscores his consistent track record in leadership, development delivery, and people-centred governance.
Having served Kitui Central for 13 years, Dr. Mulu has spearheaded transformative projects across key sectors including education, rural electrification, road infrastructure, and social welfare. Residents credit his leadership with improved access to schools, expanded electricity connectivity, better roads, and targeted social programmes that have uplifted livelihoods across the constituency.
Before joining elective politics, Dr. Mulu built an impressive career as a project management expert and United Nations consultant, working extensively in Sudan where he oversaw large-scale development initiatives.
