The Kitui County Assembly Budget Committee Chairperson and MCA for Voo/Kyamatu, Hon. Zack Syengo, on Tuesday joined residents of Zombe/Mwitika Ward in mourning with two bereaved families following recent tragic losses.
In the morning, Hon. Syengo condoled with the family of the late Muimi Mulisa Tole at Îmbûvûû Village, Makongo Sub-location, where he also stood in solidarity with local residents. The late Mulisa succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident that occurred on December 31, 2025.
Later in the afternoon, the MCA visited Kaling’a–Kikuu area in the same ward to mourn with the family of the late Mr. Samuel Kithome and the Amuuti clan following the passing of Esther Kathini Samuel. He conveyed messages of comfort and encouragement, urging families to remain united during the difficult period.
Several local leaders accompanied Hon. Syengo during the visits, including the host MCA Malinga Munyao, the village administrator, and the assistant chief, underscoring community leadership solidarity with the affected families.
Hon. Syengo, who has declared his intention to vie for the Kitui East parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, emphasized the importance of leaders standing with the people not only during campaigns but also in moments of grief.
His condolence visits were widely seen as a reflection of his continued engagement with grassroots communities across Kitui East, as political activity ahead of 2027 steadily takes shape.
