Mwingi professionals coordinator Mr Campell Munyambu has called on leaders from the Kamba community to fully support Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential bid ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking exclusively with TCD DIGITAL MEDIA in Mwingi, Munyambu said a Kalonzo Musyoka presidency would help address long-standing challenges facing the country, including unemployment, stalled development projects, and unequal distribution of national resources.
He argued that if Kalonzo is elected president in 2027, many Kenyans—especially professionals—would no longer be forced to queue in governors’ and county offices in search of jobs and tenders. According to Munyambu, a presidency has the capacity to provide opportunities and economic empowerment at a national scale.
“The presidency comes with resources and authority that can take care of community needs such as water, good roads, and completion of stalled projects,” he said, noting that these issues have particularly affected the Kamba community for years.
Munyambu urged Kamba leaders to put aside individual ambitions and join other Kenyans in endorsing Kalonzo Musyoka, saying unity around the presidency is critical for the community’s future.
“As leaders prepare to seek elective positions in 2027, we must not lose focus on the presidency. We need the top seat,” he emphasized.
He further warned that leaders who oppose Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential bid would be going against the wishes of the community, calling for loyalty and collective support as the 2027 race takes shape.
