Kitui East Member of Parliament Hon. Nimrod Mbai has urged that bursaries be awarded to all deserving students, regardless of their parents’ political affiliations. The MP emphasized that education support should unite the community rather than divide it along political lines.
Speaking during a public gathering in Kitui East, Mbai stated that bursaries are a public resource meant to benefit every needy child. He stressed that political differences should never be used to deny learners an opportunity to access education.
The legislator gave special attention to total orphaned children, calling for them to receive higher bursary allocations to help cushion them against the hardships they face. He noted that such children require extra support to remain in school and achieve their academic goals
Mbai reaffirmed his commitment to fairness and inclusivity in the distribution of education funds, saying his leadership would continue to prioritize the welfare of all children in Kitui East without discrimination.
