ODM Deputy Party Leader Hon. Ruth Odinga on Thursday showered glowing praise on Wiper Party Leader H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, describing him as a true statesman and a steadfast ally of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.
Speaking at Opoda Farm in Bondo, where Kalonzo led a high-powered delegation of leaders and supporters to console the Odinga family, Ruth Odinga hailed the former Vice President for his loyalty, humility, and unwavering commitment to Kenya’s democratic ideals.
“It takes a warrior to recognize one,” she said, noting that Kalonzo’s decision to lead hundreds of supporters and Kamba leaders to Opoda was a testament to his deep respect for Raila and his long-standing partnership with the ODM family.
She lauded Kalonzo for standing with Raila through three election cycles, describing their relationship as one rooted in mutual respect and shared vision for a better Kenya. “Hon. Kalonzo has shown the country what true friendship and leadership mean — he stood with my brother not only in victory but in the toughest of times,” Ruth Odinga remarked.
Ruth also used the occasion to reassure ODM supporters that the Orange Party remains united and strong ahead of the 2027 general elections. “ODM is a party by the people and for the people — it cannot and will not be sold,” she affirmed.
