Kanyonyoo and Mwakini areas in Kitui County witnessed a major boost in education support as Mark Nding’o, through the MK Nding’o Foundation, led the issuance of bursary cheques under the Yatta–Vonza program.
The exercise targeted vulnerable learners, with five total orphans among the immediate beneficiaries receiving full support to continue with their education. The initiative forms part of a broader effort by the foundation to ease the financial burden on families and ensure uninterrupted learning for needy students.
Speaking during the event, Mark Nding’o reaffirmed his commitment to education, noting that over 100 students are set to benefit from the bursary program through the MK Nding’o Foundation.
Residents and parents lauded the initiative, terming it a timely intervention that will help keep many children in school, especially amid rising economic challenges.
