Yatta kwa Vonza Member of the Kitui County Assembly, Hon. Mark Ndingo, on Thursday conducted a public participation forum at Kiusyani Market while inspecting the ongoing road works in the area. The MCA emphasized the importance of community cooperation, noting that public involvement is key to ensuring smooth implementation of development projects. He encouraged residents to fully support the improvements, saying the road project will greatly boost accessibility and growth in the region.
Hon. Ndingo urged community members occupying road reserves with temporary makeshift structures to cooperate when asked to move back to allow construction to proceed. He reminded them that development often comes with unavoidable adjustments, citing the recent Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kitui Town, where many hawkers and traders operating on road reserves were affected as the county reorganized spaces for public safety and order. He noted that such inconveniences are temporary but necessary for long-term progress.
Speaking during his regular public engagement forum, Ndingo reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring development projects are implemented transparently and with community input. He assured residents that the county government remains focused on improving infrastructure and creating an enabling environment for business and social activities.
