Kitui County Deputy Speaker Hon. Christopher Nzilu on Saturday attended the nationwide Ethanga clan elections, an event that brought together clan members from different parts of the country to elect new leaders. Hon. Nzilu, who serves as the Patron of the Ethanga clan, was the chief guest, reaffirming his commitment to community unity, inclusive leadership, and grassroots empowerment.
Addressing delegates during the exercise, the Deputy Speaker commended the clan for upholding democratic values and conducting the elections peacefully. He emphasized that strong and inclusive clan leadership plays a critical role in promoting social cohesion, preserving cultural values, and driving collective development. Hon. Nzilu urged the newly elected officials to lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability for the benefit of all Ethanga clan members.
The elections attracted wide participation and concluded peacefully, reflecting the clan’s commitment to unity and orderly leadership transition. Community members praised Hon. Nzilu for his continued mentorship and support, noting that his role as Patron has helped strengthen the clan’s organizational structures and national outlook.
During the elections, the following officials were elected to serve in various capacities: Raphael Ndolo as Deputy Youth Leader (Machakos), Pauline Makau as National Chairlady (Machakos), Stella Mumo as Vice Chairlady (Makueni), Regina Kavaye as Vice Treasurer (Makueni), Phillip Mulili as Organizing Secretary (Makueni), Alexander Kiio Nzu as Treasurer (Machakos), Mutui Munyalo as National Vice Secretary (Kitui), Soli Kaluta as Secretary (Machakos), David Ndolo as Youth Leader (Kitui), Pius Musyoka as Chairman (Kitui), and David Muthui as Vice Chairman (Makueni).
