Decorated accountant CPA John Makau and one of the top aspirant for mwingi central parliamentary race in 2027 has called on the Residents of Mwingi Central to turn out in large numbers and register as voters ahead of the 2027 General Election, the decision making day
Speaking Exclusively with TCD DIGITAL on voter awareness campaign, CPA John Makau called on eligible citizens, particularly the youth, to take advantage of the ongoing mass voter registration exercise being conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Makau emphasized that voter registration is the foundation of democratic participation, noting that every registered voter has the power to influence leadership and development priorities in the region.
The exercise, running from March 30 to April 28, 2026, requires wananchi to visit their nearest polling centres with valid identification documents to be enrolled.
Using the slogan “Niko Kadi, Je Wewe?”, Makau encouraged residents not to be left behind, stressing that high voter registration numbers would ensure Mwingi Central has a stronger voice in national affairs.
He further appealed to community leaders and stakeholders to mobilize residents across all wards to participate in the exercise, terming it a civic duty crucial for shaping the constituency’s future.
