Kitui County Assembly Deputy Speaker and Kyangwithya West MCA, Hon. Christopher Nzilu—who is also an aspirant for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in 2027—on Tuesday travelled from mwingi where the assembly committee were undertaking oversight activities to attend the burial of the late Dennis Wambua Stellar at Masimbani village, Kyamathyaka area, at the home of the family of Bon Kisunza.
Dennis Wambua, who was physically challenged and an orphan, passed away earlier this month. Speaking to reporters during the burial, Hon. Nzilu said he had earlier in the week visited the family to condole with them and offer his support during their time of grief.
“Dennis was physically challenged and an orphan. I earlier this week condoled the family,” Hon. Nzilu stated.
In a show of compassion and solidarity, the MCA facilitated the burial by providing a hearse to transport the body and supporting the family with other essential needs to ensure the burial was conducted with dignity.
Residents and family members thanked Hon. Nzilu for standing with them during the difficult moment, terming his gesture as a reflection of caring leadership and commitment to the welfare of vulnerable members of the community.
