Kisasi Ward MCA Hon. Nicholas Mutemi has successfully hosted a Huduma Mashinani outreach programme across Maliku, Mbusyani, Kavisuni, Mukameni and Ungaatu villages, bringing essential government services closer to residents.
The forum enabled hundreds of locals to access critical civil registration and documentation services, including applications for new national identity cards, birth certificates and voter registration services.
According to the MCAโs office, more than 351 residents applied for new national identity cards during the exercise, while 215 people registered for new voter cards. Additionally, 190 residents successfully changed their polling stations in preparation for upcoming electoral processes.
Hon. Mutemi said the Huduma Mashinani initiative is part of his continued commitment to ensure residents of Kisasi Ward can conveniently access government services without travelling long distances.
He noted that many residents, particularly youth and the elderly, face challenges in accessing registration centres, and such outreach programmes help bridge that gap by bringing services directly to the people.
The MCA affirmed that similar forums will continue to be held across the ward to ensure more residents benefit from government services and are fully documented and registered for civic participation.
