Mutha Ward has received a major boost in healthcare service delivery following the official handover of a newly completed radiology room at Mutha Level 3B Hospital under the leadership of kitui Governor dr Julius Makau Malombe
The facility, which will offer essential diagnostic services including X-rays and scanning, is expected to significantly reduce the burden on patients who previously had to travel long distances to access such services. Once fully equipped and staffed, the unit will improve timely diagnosis and treatment for residents of Mutha Ward and neighbouring areas.
Speaking during the handover, the Mutha Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Dominic Mwamisi noted that the radiology project commenced in October last year and has now been completed to the required standards. The MCA stated that the facility is projected to benefit more than 3,000 households within the ward and surrounding communities.
โThis development marks a major milestone in strengthening healthcare infrastructure at the grassroots level,โ the MCA said, adding that efforts will now focus on ensuring the facility is properly equipped and adequately staffed to guarantee efficient and professional service delivery.
The handover of the radiology room underscores the county governmentโs firm commitment to investing in quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare services for the people of Mutha Ward and neighbouring communities.
