Kitui Chief Officer for Youths, Sports and ICT, Nason Kang’alya, on Wednesday joined Kitui County staff competing at the ongoing KICOSCA Games in Siaya County, urging them to give their best and showcase excellence on stage. The teams, currently participating in various sports and cultural categories, are part of a national event that brings together staff from all 47 counties.
The KICOSCA Games, which began on November 24, feature a wide range of activities including athletics, ball games, traditional performances, and creative arts. The annual competition aims to promote wellness, talent development, and collaboration among county employees from across the country.
Kang’alya’s visit underscores the Kitui County Government’s commitment to supporting its staff and strengthening unity through active participation in national events. He encouraged the athletes and performers to remain disciplined, competitive, and focused as they represent the county.
The Chief Officer was accompanied by the Governor’s Advisor, Ms. Hellena Ken, who also applauded the team’s preparation and determination. She noted that such participatory forums not only build cohesion but also help staff sharpen their skills beyond the workplace.

Kitui teams have continued to perform strongly across different categories, with county officials expressing confidence that they will deliver an impressive overall performance. The games are ongoing across various venues in Siaya, drawing enthusiastic participation from counties nationwide.
