Kitui South Member of Parliament, Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai, today joined members of the Muamba Federation Women’s Group during their Annual General Meeting (AGM), where she reiterated her unwavering commitment to promoting women’s economic empowerment and sustainable development in the constituency.
Speaking during the event, Dr. Nyamai lauded the Muamba Federation for its resilience and achievements in advancing women-led economic initiatives. She emphasized that empowering women remains a central pillar of her leadership agenda, noting that when women are economically stable, families and communities thrive.
The legislator encouraged women to continue embracing savings and investment programs, particularly through table banking and self-help projects, which she said play a critical role in strengthening grassroots economies. She assured the group of her continued support through targeted initiatives aimed at improving access to credit, training, and market opportunities.
Dr. Nyamai also called on development partners and local leaders to collaborate in fostering entrepreneurship among women, especially in rural areas. She highlighted that empowering women is key to building sustainable livelihoods and driving inclusive growth in Kitui South.
The event, attended by hundreds of women leaders and community representatives, ended on a high note with renewed commitment to unity, innovation, and progress under the theme “Empowered Women, Empowered Communities.”
