Kitui South Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai, on Tuesday engaged residents of Athi Ward in a series of interactive development meetings. The consultative forums, which took place in Kamina, Muathe, Kamunyuni, Imathoka, Ngatiie, and Mukundaa, focused on addressing key challenges facing the local communities and exploring new opportunities for growth and empowerment.

During the meetings, Dr. Nyamai listened to the concerns of residents on matters such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and access to clean water. She assured them that her office remains committed to collaborating closely with both county and national government agencies to deliver lasting solutions that uplift livelihoods across the constituency.

The legislator also announced that President William Ruto is expected to visit Kitui South soon to officially launch the construction of the Ikutha–Mutha–Mutomo road, popularly known as “the loop.” She noted that once completed, the project will open up new economic corridors, improve mobility, and spur trade and investment within Kitui South and neighboring regions.

Dr. Nyamai reaffirmed her dedication to inclusive development and constant engagement with the people. She emphasized that progress can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work together with transparency and unity of purpose, pledging to continue advocating for the needs and aspirations of Athi Ward residents at the national level.
