The Principal Secretary for Livestock Development, Hon. Jonathan Mueke, has lauded the national government for what he termed as unprecedented development in Kitui County, saying the region has experienced more progress in the last two years than it has in the past six decades.
Speaking while addressing residents, Mueke said the scale and pace of development projects being implemented in Kitui had never been witnessed since independence. He noted that key government investments were finally reaching the grassroots, transforming livelihoods and opening up the county to new economic opportunities.

“Dear Kenyans, kama nyinyi tu najua maendeleo tumeyaona this far. Pale nyumbani Kitui, we have seen more development in the last two years than in the last 60+ years. Na bado,” said the PS, expressing optimism that more projects are still underway.kit

He said the current year marks a turning point for the region, emphasizing that sustainable development remains a key priority of the national government.
