Yumbisye Principal Faces Irate Parents



Usipoziba Ufa utajenga ukuta. Wahenga couldn’t be more right than this in describing the current hot seat situation in Yumbisye Secondary School, Kitui Central.

The vibrant town of Wikililye has started its morning with chaos pitying Yumbisye Secondary School Parents against its administration.

A number of riot police officers has been dispatched to the school to maintain order and quell the dispute.

The rioting parents have been dispersed by rioting police because they had no permit to make noise at school’s vicinity.

Yumbisye a once very disciplined and high performing school is now a pale shadow of its former glory since the departure of the former Principal Mr. mwalili.

The parents and the community over the recent days been complaining about the laxity of the current school’s administration in managing the students discipline and performance.

Unlike before, students can be seen loitering in the Wikililye ndunyu muyo after school in their full uniform.Drum rolls after Prof Magoha opens the evidence lid of the 2021 KCSE results.

Yumbisye managed a shameful Mean grade of 3.2 and only 11 students qualified for University and over 200 students lying in the D grade. Notably is that 14 students had a mean grade of E.

The parents are currently demanding that the Principal Mrs. Elizabeth Chege be transferred from the school with immediate effect as the access to the school remains barred.
