Yatta Kwa Vonza Member of the Kitui County Assembly, Hon. Mark Ndingo, has joined other leaders across the nation in mourning the death of former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, who passed away in India at the age of 80, according to family reports.
In his message of condolence, Hon. Ndingo expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Raila Odinga as a fearless champion of democracy and human rights whose voice shaped Kenya’s political landscape for decades.
“We are saddened by the death of former Prime Minister Hon. Raila Odinga. We got the news this morning, and it is really a big loss for the family and Kenya at large — not just Kenya, but the entire African continent,” Hon. Ndingo said.
He hailed the late Raila as a leader who dedicated his life to fighting for justice, unity, and equality.
“Raila has fought for human rights for such a long time. He was a man who believed in a united country and always spoke out against the wrongs done by the government. It’s indeed a big loss to us and to the nation. May God rest his soul in eternal peace,” he added.
The country continues to mourn the passing of Raila Odinga, a man whose legacy in Kenya’s political and democratic journey remains unmatched.
