The ODM leader and former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga was not allowed to address Jamhuri day function at Nyayo stadium to avoid confusion in the protocol as it happened during the launch of BBI report at Bomas of Kenya, the County Diary Has learnt
The organizers of the Jamhuri programme all agreed it was a national function hence set aside for the presidency that brings together President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
It was on these grounds opposition leaders among them Raila, Musalia Mudavadi of ANC and Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper who were present were just to be recognized as being present but not given an opportunity to speak.
After the entertainment, Ruto was invited to speak and then hand over to Uhuru, the president had been informed not to invite Raila the same with Ruto.
