KEPROBA is a State Corporation mandated with export promotion and nation branding initiatives and policies to promote Kenya’s export of goods and services.

During the visit, the teams discussed areas of cooperation in development of export marketing strategies for the identified value chains of the upcoming Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) besides connection to international markets and investors.

The CECM noted that the County Government of Kitui is implementing the CAIPs in conjunction with the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry.

“We have identified several value chains for promotion under CAIPs including those for cereals and pulses, meat and meat products, leather and leather products, horticulture, apiculture, cotton, and herbs and spices,” she added.

The Kitui Trade delegation also sought KEPROBA’s insights and support in development and implementation of a policy framework that would place Kitui at par with national government’s branding standards and guidelines, thereby giving her an edge in the export space.
