My experience is that people on the same level of conciousness cant understand each other and therefore can’t relate without friction.
We all are concious of a “higher” level of conciousness and thats the “power” that makes evolution possible. We are uncomfortable with people who are at our level because they reflect back to us where we are stuck, yet we want to rise higher. That explains why we are a bit comfortable with people “below” us because they are not a threat to our identity. We can easily subdue them.
Why do we expect a woman to be married to a man who is “older or higher” than her? Older here has no existential reference to age but to higher level of conciousness.
Somebody higher than us in concious levels scares us either into submission to them, hence why we worship them, or they threaten our ego pride so much we crucify them. A believer worships the master as a defence against rising to the master’s level. A non-believer denies masters as a defence against rising to his levels. Only a master can recognise another master! In recognition, there is no fear, which is the factor that leads to either worship or crucification.
