We are Prepared to handle Corona Virus in Kitui Ngilu reassures residents

Kitui Governor HE Charity Ngilu has assured residents that Kitui is well prepared to handle any eventualities in regard to corona Virus outbreak, the COUNTY DIARY Reports

Kitui County like other counties in Kenya has come to terms with the global threat of Corona virus.

The Covid-19 is a threat to the health sector and welfare of all mankind, men, women and children. The adage that prevention is better than cure is key as we seek to ensure that our people are free from the pandemic.

Towards this end, the county has all the health facilities alert to handle any case that may be presented.

We are also setting up our isolation quarantine unit in both Kitui Referral hospital and the Mwingi Level 4 facility.

We must ensure no child goes to school with the said symptoms and finally observe domestic cleanness to reduce the chances of infection.

I call upon all of us to visit the health facilities in case one shows symptoms for assistance.

I ask all leaders, teachers, and preachers to avoid convening gatherings that may threaten the health of our people.
