The county Executive Member in charge of Education, ICT and youth development Mr David Kivoto on Saturday attended fund raising event for the needy students in Mwingi central.
The event was organised by UKASI compassionate Heart foundation in aid of helping 13 needy students whose parents has been struggling to pay for their school fees.
The minister was accompanied by the Chief officer in the ministry of county treasury Mr Enock Nguthu and several leaders from Mwingi central constituency.
The minister David Kivoto gave governor’s Ngilu contributions of 100K…which included 30K from Enock Nguthu.
Present was Mwingi central sub County admin Alex Mutemi and several local leaders from the area, The minister encouraged locals to continue registering for kitui county Heath Insurence cover “popularly” known as Kchic.The county government of kitui will continue to equip all health facilities to meet the required standard, this was said by the minister David Kivoto.
The minister assured the public that the County government of kitui led by able leadership Governor Ngilu will continue supporting education of children through the County bursary programme to ensure that all children access quality basic education.
The minister assured community that the County of kitui has enough medicine and doctors in all hospitals across the county.
