Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau has led County Government officers in the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Environment to visit Kasyongo and Ngengi area in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North Sub County where desert locusts have invaded the area destroying the vegetation.
The Deputy Governor informed the Kyuso residents that, spraying was done in most parts of Ngomeni Ward today and tomorrow in the morning they will do another spraying in all parts of Kyuso, because spraying is always done early in the morning.
Accompanying him is the CECM for Environment and Natural Resources John Makau, CECM for Agriculture, Water and Livestock Development Emanuel Kisangau, Kitui County Deputy Speaker Hon Kasee Musya and C.O for Agriculture and Livestock Development James Mbii.
Also present is the SCA Mwingi North Stephen Matei, Kyuso OCPD Charles Machinji, MCA Kyuso Hon Stephen Makau, MCA Mumoni Hon Johnson Kanandu, MCA Mui Hon Jacob Mbaya and SCA Mwingi Central Alex Mutemi, among other National and County Governments officers.
