A lorry belonging to a notorious Kangundo business lady was last night arrested while ferrying charcoal to the capacity in Kitui South.
The arrest was carried out after a tip-off by residents and an area environmentalist.
Kitui County Government revenue officers moved swiftly under the cover of the night to respond to the call by residents, who after seeing the lorry which has been engaging in illegal business with impunity for quite sometime now, according to an eye witness.
The said lorry, while packed to capacity was later waylaid and arrested in Kitui South by the brave officers.
As we went to Press, the lorry was in safe custody at Government offices in Mutomo.
