Tourism Sector Ranked Number one in improving Kenyan Economic growth

The tourism sector, was ranked number one in improving Kenya’s economic growth in the last year by attaining 26.2% in the accommodation and food sector.

This is due to the efforts put in by the Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza to revive the ailing ministry.

According to the last year’s indicators, The sector improved by 26.20 percent followed by ART with 17.90 percent.

The ICT sector had 9.90 percent growth while Mining and quarrying had 9.30 percent last year. Transport 4.50 percent, real estate 5.60 percent and trade 3.80 percent, Manufacturing 2. 70 percent while Agriculture had -1.60 percent growth.

Agriculture was the only sector that
strangled as accommodation grew the
fastest.
