TOUGH RULES AS HOTELS & RESTAURANTS SET TO RE-OPEN

The government has announced that Restaurants and eateries will now be allowed to operate between 5am to 5pm and strictly observe social distancing as advised in the guidelines Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said.

The Reopening of restaurants does not mean bars are opened as well, they remain closed. You can order your alcohol with your meal at a restaurant but bars remain closed. ~ Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.

The cabinet Secretary has outlined Tough Rules for Hotels before they Re-open their premises.

  • All staff to be tested for coronavirus.
  • No buffet services.
  • The restaurants will operate between 5 am – 4PM.
  • Social Distancing to be observed.
  • Walk into hotel with masks.
  • Customers to be tested on the gate.

Cafeterias, restaurants, and dinners will operate between 5am to 4pm and they must maintain the social distancing that is required by the ministry.

Anybody walking into a restaurant, hotel, dinners should walk in with a mask and sanitize theirs hands. This is not a licence to start opening local bars and alcohol sale across the country. Anybody walking into a restaurant should walk in with a mask , sanitize theirs hands and if your staff have not been tested you cannot open a restaurant… Health Cs Mutahi Kagwe has said.
