The world environment day which occurs every June was Marked in several parts of the country.
The Message of The Director General of Kenya Environment Ministry was read in Kitui during the celebration.

We are very proud to be global trendsetters in the fight against plastic pollution. This has been done through stakeholder engagement meetings, awareness forums and Enforcement Initiative. Through compliance and enforcement. The Authority has recorded an increase in the uptake of effortless and licenses by the regulated community.
This therefore, that means compliance to the water quality regulation and subsequent reduction of pollution in the water bodies. In addition, the authority has continuously continuously carried out enforcement on the ban on plastic in certain counties to ensure compliance and read these areas of the DPD core plastic that may find their way back into the market.
We are currently confronting source citation and awareness creation or sustainable Waste Management Act 20.2 which is the new registration on the Waste Management. This act is in the combinations and the location of law for the cities, counties and national governments and national governments.
For us to succeed in the fight against plastic pollution, we must move from the linear economy to a circular one where the throw away culture will become a thing of the past. industries have to upgrade their processes in addition to rethinking their product. Design to ensure minimum non recyclable products reduced further, there needs to be an industrial symbiosis where industries work together to to make the rope concrete.
One person waste becomes another raw material to ensure no waste to take to the thinking design with the fourth try to gain by ensuring products are sustainable, and that they are sustainable in the sourcing of raw material as well as selling out sustainable products.
