Government to continue Issuing Title deeds to Kitui Residents

The partnership between the County Govt of Kitui and the National govt will see thousands of land owners issued with title deeds.
This was confirmed on Thursday by the Ministry of Lands Principal Secretary Dr. Nicholas Muraguri when he met Governor Charity Ngilu in Mwingi DCC’s office.”I foresee a better Kitui through the plan we are kicking off here today” he said.
He said land is a key factor in any developing country and apllauded Governor Ngilu for her continuous efforts to ensure residents secure titles for their lands.
He further said the partnership will see at least 100,000 title deeds issued to residents by June this year and a similar number by end of 2019.
The PS said the national government will partner with the County government to put up a lands’ registry office in the county.
A section of officers from the National Ministry of Lands accompanied the PS for today’s launch of the initiative.
