President William Ruto has revoked the appointment of the tana and Athi rivers develop authority chairman Hon Joe Mutambu.
In a gazette No. 649, THE TANA AND ATHI RIVERS DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY ACT (Cap. 443) the president confirmed the appointment of Mr PATRICK GICHURU GCOH as the new boss.
“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 4 (1) (a) of the
Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority Act, The head of the state and President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of
the Defence Forces William Ruto appointed Mr PATRICK GICHURU GCOH to be the Chairperson of the Tana and Athi Rivers Development
Authority, for a period of three (3) years with effect from the 20th
January 2023.
The appointment of Joe Mutambu is revoked Dated the 20th January 2023″
The former Mwingi Central Mp hon Mutambu was a loyalist of retired President Kenyatta, he fell out with Kalonzo Musyoka and joined the jubilee party in 2013.
He has been a staunch supporterPresidentdent Uhuru Kenyatta and very soon, he will be back to UDA PARTY, Mutambu is one of the politicians who are very calculative.
Last month, the Tarda boss Hon Mutambu paid a courtesy call to the Governor of kitui HE Malombe where the issue of kiroboko sand harvesting in Mwingi West was elaborately discussed.
