State to fend Indigenous Wildlife Animals, Says Tourism CS Penina Malonza



The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and National heritage is committed to Protecting indigenous wildlife under all costs, CS hon Penina Malonza has said.

The Cabinet secretary Miss Malonza was Speaking in the Panama Conference in the USA, The CS later held a consultative met up with international stakeholders on the sideline of the convention.

Speaking exclusively with TCD digital, the hard working CS said,

“This Morning I met Hon. Uganda Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Tom Butime MP and shared Kenya’s submissions to the COP including proposed Elephant Fund towards sustainable financing for elephant conservation”

“They agreed to support Kenya on the floor tomorrow, equally Kenya will support their proposal on Hippopotamus to remain in appendix ii since there is not much evidence that it’s affected by international trade.
