The speaker Of the Kitui County Assembly hon Kevin Kinengo Katisya was among the leaders who graced the grand opening of Sacrament Parish, Kweluu in Kyome/Thaana.

The 33rd Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Kitui was officially opened by His Grace Bishop Joseph Mwongela.
The event was also attended by Hon. Alex Nganga (Minority Leader and MCA Miambani), Hon. Alphonse Mukwayu (MCA Kyome/Thaana), Hon. Anthony Musyoka (MCA Kiomo/Kyethani), Hon. Gabriel Munyao (MCA Kauwi), Hon. Paul Maluki (MCA Kithumula/ Kwamutonga), and Hon. Frida Maua (UDA Nominated MCA).
