The County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya on Wednesday administered oath of office to Hon. Baraka Waziri Bakari and Hon. Rose Kasyoka Kathoka.
The two Honourable members were gazetted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in the Kenya Gazette notice number 7540 dated 30th September, 2022, under the marginalized category by the Wiper Democratic Party Movement as the party nominees to the Third County Assembly of Kitui.
After the first business of the house, the house adopted Kitui County Assembly Leadership.
Leader of majority will be – Harrison Maluki Mawia (Wiper) MCA.
Deputy leader of majority – Dr. Erastus Mbuno Musyoka, Endau Malalali MCA.
Minority leader – Alex Mutambu Nganga (NARC) MCA for Miambani ward.
Deputy Minority Leader – Jeremiah Musee Mutua (NARC)
Majority whip – Boniface Mukwate Kilaa
Deputy minority whip – Godfrey Muthengi Dangara
Minority Whip – Sylvester Kitheka Munyalo, Matinyani ward.
Deputy Minority Whip – Boniface Katumbi.
